Back story of your character: Lydia moved back to Japan after her parents had gotten divorced, moving in with her aunt and uncle. Her life had been as normal as was allowed living with her stuck up family. She'd gone through her schooling as an average student and continued into college. But when she'd realized that half her schooling was over and she still didn't know what she was going to do with her life. She took a job at a video game company, with the help of her father, as a secretary.
She didn't play online games often and only a few games in general but with a comment made from her employer about the newest game coming out and how someone should play it to test out the competition, she realized a possibility of gaining favor and even career movement, she volunteered quickly to test out the game for her boss. She'd gone out that night and purchased what controls and system requirements that she'd need. Her boss had pulled some strings assuring a copy of Sword Art Online. She remembered what he'd said to her before she'd signed on.
"Make sure to pay attention to detail. Details are most important. How do the controls flow? Is it easy to catch onto? Don't worry if you die, we need to see how it plays out anyway. Good luck. I'm trusting you with this."
It was suppose to be a game...just a way to maybe get a raise. A promotion, someday.
